Rural Intelligence is a new website created by two regional residents with impressive journalistic backgrounds: Marilyn Bethany who lives in Columbia County and Dan Shaw who has a home in Falls Village. Those of us who are fortunate to live in northwestern Connecticut and adjoining Dutchess and Columbia counties have learned to savor the unexpectedly rich cultural resources of our particular towns, but, parochial as we tend to be, we are sometimes unaware of the fulfilling experiences available just over our horizons. Rural Intelligence sets out to correct this by posting articles and reviews of worthwhile dining, artistic and cultural treasures in our wider neighborhood. It’s well worth a visit.
